Rage for Art (Pierogi Reborn) is the celebration of the opening of Pierogi's new and expanded space. The gallery has moved from 167 North 9th street to 177 North 9th Street, just next door.
This show will feature the work of thirty artists who have had one person shows over the last four years at Pierogi. This is not a theme show, but rather something of a retrospective. It will have interesting new works from:
Karen Arm, Mike Ballou, John Berens, Jean Blackburn, David Brody, Brian Conley, Dan Devine, James Esber, Amanda Fin, Rico Gatson, Peter Garfield, Stacy Greene, Linda Herritt, Dana Kane, Sermin Kardestuncer, Robert Lazzarini, Mark Lombardi, Chris Martin, Shari Mendelson, Andrew Moszynski, Nicki Nodjoumi, Gene Oldfield, Gary Panter, Bruce Pearson, David C. Scher, James Siena, Adam Simon, Bob & Roberta Smith, Mike Smith, and Mary Ziegler.
As you may know, Pierogi has another unique venue for artists - Arists of the Week. The opening artist will be Jim Torok. In this venue, each week one work from a different artist is featured from the flatfiles.
Also featured: the ever expanding flat
files with the works of 350 aritsts.
