Justin Amrhein - "God Spot," 2017, Graphite and colored pencil on paper, 41 x 59.5 inches

This drawing “…is basically my stream of consciousness —me talking about an article I read about ‘The God Spot,’ a place that some neurologists claim is in the human brain. It starts with that concept and ends up being a personal narrative journey of sorts, of me trying to figure out what religion I should belong to, if any, and how I do or do not connect with religion in general. I never arrive at an answer.”
